Conquest

Synopsis: A young prince teams up with a wandering warrior to defeat the Wolf Queen Ocron, who has stolen the Sun. Ocron, who has had a vision of her defeat by a faceless archer, sends her wolf-men and zombies to kill the prince. Startlingly enough, she succeeds... but is undone by a surprise ending.

Notes: Big men in tunics spout pseudo-philosophy between battles with strange creatures... business as usual in this fairly late Italian/Mexican "peplum". Actually, this is one of the stronger entries in the Italian sword & sandal pageant, with more brutal special effects, an eye-catching villainess (nude except for a gold mask, which hides... yecch... something nasty), and that memorably unexpected ending.
